As a qualified counsellor, clinical supervisor and coach you can probably tell that I love variety in my work! I thrive on professional and therapeutic connection and I feel passionate about supporting people going through the challenges of infertility, hormone issues, POI (Premature Ovarian Insufficiency), miscarriage, women’s health issues and the menopause transition.
I have lived experience of miscarriage, hormone issues, infertility and fertility treatments due to POI, menopause symptoms and women's health issues. My experience navigating these led to my decision to train as a counsellor. I believe psychological therapies should be offered to everyone experiencing fertility issues or baby loss at any stage, and to all women/people AFAB with challenging hormone and women's health issues. These are not just physical, they are emotional and psychological too, affecting overall wellbeing and life choices too.
I have a corporate background in People/HR, specialising in setting up strategy, systems and processes and managing change in high-growth companies and start-ups, and in a range of industries including financial services, product creation, hospitality/travel, education and publishing, so I understand the pressures of corporate life and how this impacts the conditions and situations I support people with.
I am an Accredited Member of the BACP and I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. My approach to counselling is humanistic, pluralistic and relational, which aligns with my values in life as well as my professional work.
